What ages are best for milestone photos?
Every family is different, but some of the most popular milestones are tummy time (around 3–4 months), sitting independently (6–8 months), first birthdays, and cake smash sessions. If you're not sure which stage you'd like to capture, I'd be happy to help you choose the perfect timing.
How far in advance should I book my session?
I recommend booking as early as possible, especially if you'd like a session during busy seasons like spring or fall. If you're planning around a first birthday or another special milestone, reserving your date early helps ensure availability. Planning last minute? Don't hesitate to reach out—I'll always do my best to fit you in.
What should my baby wear?
Simple outfits photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on your little one. Soft, neutral colors and minimal patterns are always a great choice. I'm always happy to help chat about coordinating clothing if you'd like.
Can parents and siblings be included?
Absolutely! Family and sibling photos are included with Signature Sessions and are a wonderful way to remember this season together. Petite Sessions are designed to focus on your child only.
Do I need to bring anything?
I've tried to make planning as easy as possible. For Petite Sessions, I provide a simple prop or two, and you simply bring your little one dressed and ready to go. For Signature Sessions, you'll bring your outfits and, if you've chosen to include one, a cake for your cake smash. After booking, I'll send a prep guide with all the details to make planning easy.
Do you provide props?
Absolutely! I have a growing collection of classic props and seasonal setups, but one of my favorite parts of planning Signature Sessions is creating something unique for each family. If there's a special idea you have in mind and I don't already have the perfect prop, I'll do my best to make or purchase it whenever possible. I also love incorporating meaningful items from home, like a favorite blanket, stuffed animal, or family heirloom.
What if my baby is fussy or doesn't cooperate?
No worries at all! Babies have their own schedules, and I expect plenty of breaks, cuddles, snacks, and wiggles. We'll move at your child's pace and create a relaxed environment that allows their personality to shine. Some of the sweetest moments happen in between the "perfect" poses.
What if it rains?
North Carolina weather can be unpredictable. If rain or severe weather gets in the way, we'll simply reschedule for another date. I want your session to be relaxed and enjoyable, not stressful.
When will I receive my gallery?
Your edited gallery is typically delivered within 1–2 weeks after your session.
