How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking as early as possible, especially during the busy fall season. Weekend dates and popular times tend to fill quickly, but feel free to reach out even if you're planning last minute—I'll always do my best to find a date that works for your family.
Where are sessions held?
Most sessions take place outdoors in the Clayton and Raleigh, NC area. I have several favorite locations and am happy to recommend one that fits your family's style. My cozy in-home studio is also available for families who prefer an indoor setting.
What should we wear?
After booking is complete, you'll receive a session prep guide with wardrobe tips, color inspiration, and helpful suggestions to make planning stress-free.
What if my children don't cooperate?
No worries at all! Children don't have to sit perfectly or smile on command to create beautiful images. We'll keep things fun, follow their lead, and capture genuine moments along the way. As a former elementary teacher and mom, I know how to help little ones feel comfortable so your session stays relaxed and enjoyable.
We're awkward in front of the camera. Will you help us pose?
Absolutely! Most families tell me this before their session. You don't need to know what to do or worry about perfect smiles. I'll gently guide you every step of the way and focus on creating natural, joyful images that feel like your family. My goal is for you to relax, have fun, and simply enjoy being together.
What if it rains?
North Carolina weather can be unpredictable. If rain or severe weather gets in the way, we'll simply reschedule for another date. I want your session to be relaxed and enjoyable, not stressful.
When will I receive my gallery?
Your edited gallery is typically delivered within 1–2 weeks after your session date.
